DFI and DuPont Sign License Agreement to Apply Diamon-Fusion®
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, July 2003- Diamon-Fusion
International, Inc. (DFI), global developer and exclusive
supplier of the Diamon-Fusion® patented hydrophobic
technology has signed a license agreement with E.I. DuPont
de Nemours and Company to apply DFI's technology for the
commercialization of DuPont's products under DuPont's own brand
names.
Adam Zax, President and CEO of DFI, reported: "To
have as a licensee a company of the magnitude and respect that
DuPont offers truly solidifies our Global Marketing Strategy
and given DuPont's unquestionable leadership in innovative science-based
materials clearly sets DFI apart as a technology supplier".
DuPont is
a 200-year science company offering innovative products,
technologies and services that improve the lives of people everywhere.
Headquartered in Wilmington, Del., DuPont delivers science-based
solutions to markets including agriculture, nutrition, electronics,
communication, safety and protection, home and construction,
transportation apparel, home and textiles.
DFI's enhanced
hydrophobic technology provides a unique molecular change
in the treated surface, creating a covalent bond, the
strongest possible bond, in chemical terms, that a hydrophobic
coating can furnish (in a covalent bond, the electrons are shared
by the glass and the coating itself, thus the coating becomes
part of the glass). Diamon-Fusion®'s chemical vapor
deposition process provides expanded durability and additional
properties such as scratch and impact resistance, added brilliance
and lubricity, additional electrical insulation and capability
of receiving Invisible Art Glass, among other significant
characteristics.
