DFI’s new state-of-the-art application
technology is
supplied in Italy
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, April 2003- Italian shower
door manufacturer SAMO SpA, one of Europe’s
leader in the fabrication of shower enclosures and
licensee of DFI’s enhanced hydrophobic technology,
has successfully completed full implementation of
DFI’s production procedures under a newly developed
(designed and manufactured in Italy) application technology
with fully automatic capabilities.
This new turn-key operation of DFI’s
patented hydrophobic process further enhances DFI’s
cost-effective and innovative technology by substantially
minimizing any labor required to operate the process
and at the same time provides an easier method to
be implemented under any production flow. This new
method, as the prior application process, is also
ecology-friendly and has been certified under European
environmental laws.
SAMO,
with its main manufacturing plant in Northern Italy
(Verona region), has a vast chain of distribution
throughout Italy and Europe, with sales offices
in Spain, France and Portugal, and an
annual production capability of nearly 750,000
shower door units.
Gastone Segala, Director of Research &
Development at SAMO, reported: "This newly
developed application technology provides us with
not only operational efficiency but also with the
capability of increased production at no additional
indirect costs”.
Guillermo U. Seta, VP and Executive Director
of DFI, stated: “This new engineered design
provides increased levels of productivity and efficiency,
essential elements in today’s global market;
it also empowers competitive advantages, creates revenue
opportunities, and clearly generates a remarkable
improvement from an application technology perspective.”
